DJ, jewellery maker, adult film actress, and past ACCLAIM cover star Jessie Andrews has graced the (URL) pages of British fashion title, Love magazine. Collaborating with photographer, Francesca Allen and director, Laura Colada the project, while still NSFW, is a slight stylistic change of pace for Andrews.

The shoot and video are revealing in their imagery, but Andrews is almost unrecognisable in her tumbling, curly blond locks; her stunning image filtered through multi-layered, psychedelic lenses and grainy cinematography which purveys a throwback to old school art student video projects and, perhaps more recently, homemade Mac DeMarco videos.

Even though it may be a new direction for Andrews, it is still stylistically representative of Francesca Allen’s best works which largely focus on youth, femininity, true love and friendship. However, this is not the pair’s first collaboration.

“Jessie and I have worked together a few times before,” says Allen. “She’s strong, charismatic and incredibly beautiful.”

Dressed in outfits from acclaimed London designers, Claire Barrow and Mimi Wade, Andrews fits perfectly in Allen’s extensive catalogue. Whilst the images by no means convey a certain youthful ‘innocence’, they certainly represent the youthful hedonism and carefree spirit which one would also associate with the multi-talented Andrews herself.

Independent filmmaker, Laura Colada, also captured the shoot on film. Using shaky, close-up shots, and super-imposed imagery of Andrews to achieve a lo-fi, first-person feel, the short two-minute video feels like both a throwback to the aforementioned art student video projects and an undiluted, pre-internet sense of creativity.

Check out some of the shots and Colada’s video above and head to Love magazine for the full story.
