Coachella 2014 has come to an end. The bands are gone and the punters are in bed nursing hangovers and comedowns. But at least the pictures are here, and none are more impressive than Mark Davis’ series of infrared snaps.

The photographer spent the festival capturing its moments through an infrared lens. The result is a series of images depicting the festival in a surreally beautiful purple tint. The snaps have an otherworldly quality to them (especially ones featuring Christian Ristow’s giant astronaut installation) and make the festival seem even more of a ridiculous spectacle than it already was.
