The Hours are proud to support this great re-surge of one of Sydney’s most active Arts initiatives. The people from Lo-Fi Collective bring you Lower-Fi Collective, a four week showcase to lead us into a promising summer of visual treats.
Lower-fi in Surry Hills will be the next venture of the Lo-Fi Collective Arts initiative. Surry Hills’ iconic Kinselas Building was once home to the visual arts space known as Lo-Fi Collective; a project occupying the space in the lead up to the completion of the intended live music venue known as THE STANDARD. At present, Lo-Fi Collective shows artists on a monthly basis in The Standard due to the high rotation of some of Australia’s finest live music. Lower-Fi will house a curated family of artists from a range of disciplines and backgrounds, with the objective of re-invigorating Sydney’s arts and cultural scene.
Lower-Fi is another initiative from Riversdale Group & The Hours, The groups behind Lo-Fi Collective, Self Est, Go Font Ur Self, The Opening Hours & Wonder Walls. Lower-Fi is co-curated by Marty Routledge and Christopher Loutfy.
Lower-Fi will hold weekly Thursday openings over a four week period, boasting world class talent from around the globe. Lower-Fi applies the same no-commission / free gallery structure as its brother gallery, Lo-Fi Collective, and sister gallery The Tate.
