One might think that the amount of photo-sharing sites and apps available has reached its limit, but travel and lifestyle photographer Kaitlyn Reed is pushing one more. PhotoYOLO describes itself as “One photo a day in your inbox, from a friend you just haven’t met yet.” The premise is simple; people subscribe to the service and each day one lucky “winner” is selected to share an image with the PhotoYOLO community.

On the plus side, if you are selected you have the opportunity to share your work with the world. On the other hand, you also have to receive a photo every goddamn day from a complete random. It’s not clear if there’s any policing of any sort on what images are allowed through, but without that PhotoYOLO could very quickly descend into a dark, dirty world of dickpics. But who knows, maybe this is exactly what my inbox has been lacking.

Personally, I already receive enough stupid snapchats of people’s breakfasts and my Instagram feed is overflowing with #thinspo shit. So I don’t know if it’s worth the risk. But if you’re more trusting then I am, check it out. After all, YOLO.
