Last week, surrealist and pop-inspired artist Ron English finished a huge mural entitled ‘Urban Bigfoot’. Spanning 140 ft x 45 ft (approx. 43m x 14m) in size, the huge mural lines a street in downtown LA and was made possible by the LA Freewalls group. The group has helped find public platforms for works by artists such as Kid Zoom, Dabs Myla and Swoon in the past.
No mean feat, ‘Urban Bigfoot’ took over 800 spraycans and 40 gallons of paint to create. English completed the project with the help of local graffiti artist Vyal One. Have a look at the finished product in the gallery above.
