The Simpsons and Lego are both beloved American cultural institutions, celebrated by children and middle aged nerds alike. They’re also no stranger to collaboration, but this new project takes their creative relationship to a new height. The show’s producers have confirmed that on May 4th Fox will broadcast episode 550 of the series, and it will be animated entirely with Lego. It’s one of the program’s most ambitious undertakings to date – and apparently work on the project has been underway for more than two years.
