We all know that advertising is just a ploy by companies to make us believe we need their product, no matter how crappy it may be. And, yes, to all you suckers mourning over the purchase of your Ab-Swing Pro at 3.00 am on a lonely Saturday, I’m looking at you.

The sad reality is, it usually works. That hot blonde looks good while eating a triple cheeseburger, so I will too, right? (Heads up – you won’t.) So to bring us all back down to earth and realise the honesty behind these advertisements, we have Clifton Robert Dickens. Dickens is a graphic designer hailing from Nashville, USA, and is the guy behind the project Honest Slogans.

The title is pretty self-explanatory, but Dickens has re-worked some very famous brand logos to include, well, the truth.
