If you were amongst the lucky few who learned the secret location of the recent AWOL crew’s group show in Melbourne, you would’ve seen the epic showcase of works created by six artists—Adnate, Deams, Lucy Lucy, Itch, Slicer and Li-Hill—all boasting their own unique styles and techniques, who came together to adorn the walls of an historic Victorian building with 74 artworks on paper and canvas. Inspired by the idea that AWOL’s “six members weave together into a single artistic force”, the showpiece of the exhibition was the 10mx3m collab wall, the first commercial piece worked on by all the artists since the crew’s inception in 2006.
