Considering his subjects, it seems only fitting that ROA’s work is the latest to appear in the Boneyard Project. Part of the Pima Air and Space Museum in Arizona, the unused military planes, which have been left in a field ‘to die’, serve as a perfect canvas for ROA’s depiction of fauna, and skeletal structures. In the video, the Belgian artist speaks of his connection to the aircrafts’ stories, and what it felt like to paint in the desert.
