Long before the Cat In The Hat and Green Eggs and Ham, Dr Seuss made a living as an advertising illustrator. Better known then as Theodor Seuss Geisel, it comes as no surprise that his earlier illustrations were just as quirky and memorable the books that made him a legend. According to the UC San Diego Library where his early work is stored, Dr Seuss’ quirky legacy can be traced all the way back to an advertisement he did for bug spray back in the day.
