A new global trailer for upcoming film, Jurassic World, has just been released. With teasers being drip-fed to us over the last six months, this clip gives us the largest snapshot into the much-anticipated film and we’re completely psyched.

The fourth film in the Jurassic Park franchise promises to deliver us loads of prehistoric action and suspense. The film is set 22 years after Jurassic Park and Jurassic World is now a fully-fledged dinosaur theme park. But the trailer lets us in on a little secret, Jurassic World is in struggle town and is plagued with declining visitor numbers. In order to reverse this, Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), Operations Manager of Jurassic World, proposes a new attraction is introduced to increase ticket sales. And *spoilers*, it’s a man-made, hybrid dinosaur dubbed Indominus Rex. Didn’t these guys get the memo the first three times around? It’s probs not a good idea. (We don’t mind though, we’ll still watch the ensuing chaos)

What makes this film different from the previous Jurassic Park trilogy is dinosaur researcher, Owen Grady’s (Chris Pratt), interaction with the dinosaurs. In the trailer he states, “It’s not about control. It’s a relationship…based on respect…” This bond will be interesting to see played out on the big screen, maybe we have another Daenerys Targaryen on our hands here.

Jurassic World opens in cinemas June 12.
