A HD version of a collaborative animated short by Salvador Dali and Walt Disney has found its way online. The original concept was developed by the two parties in 1945 and 1946 but was shelved due to financial constraints. It was then revived by Roy Disney in ’99 from the original story art and 17-second animation test.

Like most things Disney, Destino is a tragic love story between two unlikely characters – in this case, Chronos (time) and a beautiful mortal woman. Like most things Dalinian, it’s super weird.

The animation can be yours to own as part of the similarly trippy Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 special edition Blu-ray. It’s definitely an interesting watch, scroll through the gallery and check it out for yourself above.
