New York-based artist Bradley Hart’s Injection series uses everyone’s favourite thing to touch – bubble wrap – to create some seriously next-level pixel art. Hart recreates famous portraits and personal photographs by precisely injecting each pocket with a syringe of coloured acrylic paint that, when viewed from afar, becomes a stunningly hyperrealistic picture. Each work apparently takes 150 hours, around 1,200-1,500 different syringes, 16,000 bubbles and an unbelievable amount of self-control to finish.
Beautiful, yes, but can you imagine seeing this IRL and trying to hold back from popping each glorious paint-filled bubble? That shit would hurt.
