I remember taking family holidays during my childhood, lugging around a brick-like camcorder, recording happy (or not) memories on a cassette tape and re-watching the grainy footage afterwards. Nowadays, that nostalgia seems to be reserved for skate videos and the occasional music clip, but it doesn’t remove its pull on the old heartstrings… if you’re old enough to have experienced it the first time around.

If you’re fresh enough to the world for all your childhood video footage to be broadcast in crisp HD, this super retro take on video is still pretty cool. Available through the Apple app store, you can shoot your shitty video wherever you are and share with everyone instantly—which is definitely not how we did it back in the day.
