TV industry insiders have spilled the beans on Will Smith’s plans to reboot his ’90s television hit The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. It’s been said that the OG Fresh Prince will only participate in a production capacity, as his company Overbrook Entertainment enter the “very early stages” of developing and shopping a modern-day take on the family friendly comedy series.

This is sure to have ’90s kids divided—I mean, how many remakes actually live up to, let alone surpass, the original? But it does look like it’s the year of ‘the reboot’, with other classic series such as Full House and X-Files in the works at the moment as well.

No word on who might be considered for the cast (mainly, if Jaden will play any part in this) but if the recent divorce rumours are anything to go by, we can hopefully count on Big Willy to make some noise about this project soon.
