Since talks of a new Terminator film surfaced, film buffs questioned who would handle the screenplay (Laeta Kalorgidis of Shutter Island and Patrick Lussier), whether Arnie would indeed be back (yes) and if it would be any good (my money is on No). The latest whispers to come through the film industry Chinese whispers is that Alan Taylor, whose resumé includes Game of Thrones and the upcoming Thor: The Dark World, is front-runner for the director’s chair.

Apparently the studio was chasing the likes of Ang Lee, with no success, so I guess Taylor was the next best thing. There still hasn’t been any word regarding the storyline and other cast members, but Terminator 5 is slated for a June 2015 release date.
