A sheriff’s office in Franklin County, Kentucky, recently posted a flyer on Facebook offering a free service to help eliminate drug dealers’ competition…by snitching. A tip sent to a phone number on the flyer led to an investigation that recovered crack, cocaine, four pounds of weed and four firearms, ending with one arrest, according to sheriff Pat Melton.

The flyer could capture anyone’s attention with the bold title “Attention Drug Dealers” and under a large marijuana leaf are details about the competition with blanks to fill in the gaps, i.e., “My drug dealing competition is…” and “My drug dealing competition lives at…”. It also asked respondents to identify when their competition is most active.

The flyer gained some attention after rapper Ludacris posted it on Instagram with the caption: #nowthatsludacrious. The sheriff department responded with “Ludacris you say? Arrests have been made as a result of information received. Stay tuned…….” on Facebook.

“Asking drug dealers to turn in other drug dealers,” Sheriff Melton said. “It’s comical, and it’s working.”
