With Mario Kart 8 coming out in Japan this summer, Nintendo is pulling out the big guns. The newest installation of the franchise will offer a Mercedes Benz as one of Mario’s playable vehicles.

In what is obviously a better choice then the nanobike or dolphin dasher (not to mention those weird pram-mobiles), players will get to download and race in a silver Mercedes Benz GLC convertible. Now we can finally see how German engineering fairs against banana peels and the infamously treacherous Rainbow Road.

The move was announced as part of a deal between the famous Italian plumber and the German auto manufacturer that also features a pretty amusing ad (watch it below).
