When we found out about a planned Horror Movie Campout in Melbourne, our automatic response was NOPE. But those who are actual fans of being scared can now rejoice, with the event details finally confirmed and tickets on sale for the Melbourne leg.

Campers will be able to pitch tents at the the historic Point Cook Homestead on either December 4 or 5 and partake in what can only be described as a nightmare come true. ICYMI, Horror Movie Campout invites a whole bunch of people out into the woods, screening classic and indie horror flicks at night while professional ‘scare actors’ roam around giving everyone heart attacks.

A camping permit will score you and two mates a three-person tent and camping spot, with an option to upgrade to a ‘glamping’ permit if you’d rather be scared shitless in comfort. Check out full event details on Facebook or purchase your tickets here – organisers have warned that tickets are limited and the event is sure to sell out, so run for your lives.
