Self-described ‘United States Creative Director of Internet Curatorial Affairs’ Josh Ostrovsky, better known as his URL persona The Fat Jew, must be used to internet fame by now—his meme reposts have earned him over five million Instagram followers and tens of thousands of likes per post. Most recently, the attention has returned to the popular opinion that he lifts the comedic stylings of his captions from other comedians without attribution, aka plagiarism.

After people were made aware that the outspoken personality had signed with CAA and was working with Comedy Central on a television show, the internet arked up once more about The Fat Jew’s aggregating ways. This convinced Comedy Central to come out and confirm that they were no longer working on The Fat Jew’s project and that it had actually been off the table “for months”.

It’s unlikely to faze Ostrovsky though, with the numerous other business ventures that are actually taking off for him and his general DGAF attitude to, well, anything. There hasn’t been any comment from the man himself (though he has been spotted partying onstage with Joe Jonas), but that doesn’t mean the internet will shut up. Take a look at some of the online jabs (and defenses) above.
