Add another chain to his list of accolades, 2 Chainz is looking to run for mayor of his hometown College Park, Georgia. While it’s a relatively small city with a population under 20,000, 2 Chainz (Tauheed Epps) would be going up against the long standing current mayor, Jack Longino.

The idea is under consideration and while he notes that he is a “musician, not a politician”, he is taking the idea seriously before embarking and ensuring he does have the proper qualifications to be mayor.

A shift in profession for Tity Boi isn’t a complete surprise. After all, he did graduate from Alabama State with a 4.0 GPA and has shown interest in political debates over policies in America. One notable incident was a televised debate with Nancy Grace over the marijuana policy, in which he was praised for his pro-legalization point of view and commentary.

If 2 Chainz makes it in the polls, you know his touring rate is going to drop faster than Nancy Grace’s popularity in the legalisation debate so make sure you see him before it’s too late. He’ll be heading back to Aus shored just in time for Future Music Festival from February 28 to March 9 so get around it!
