A live reading of The Empire Strikes Back will be held at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Thursday December 18 as a part of director Jason Reitman’s ongoing series of monthly  reading sessions.

According to Reitman he chose Aaron Paul because he is the opposite of Mark Hamill’s ‘sweet and nice’ Luke Skywalker. Joining Paul and Simmonds in the performance are, British actor and comedian Stephen Merchant, in the role of C3P0, The Usual Suspects actor, Kevin Pollak will bring his own interpretation of Yoda and Dennis Haysbert will play Lando Calrissian.

Reitman is yet to reveal who will be playing the roles of Han Solo and Princess Leia.

The December 18 live read is already sold out, but Film Independent is reporting of another performance sometime in 2015.
