In a means to entice customers with their products, food manufacturers have had to go to elaborate distances to create crazy food hybrids and combinations. We have seen it ourselves in Australia with items such as the Meat-Pie Crusted Pizza. Sadly though, however good the combinations sound on paper, they hardly deliver in real life.

However, it seems that Oreo have got it right. First reported in July, the Brownie Batter Oreos left many doubtful—it almost seemed too good to be true. But with the limited edition Oreos on sale nationwide (in the USA), the reports actually seem to really stack up in favour of the flavour. Reports on the web have given favourable reviews from media sources such as Time magazine, praising both the brownie flavour and the fact that it is simply just a “really good cookie”.

Oreo has created a tonne of crazy flavours lately, such as cotton candy, pumpkin spice, s’mores and red velvet but Brownie Batter may actually be one to look out for. Hopefully it makes it way over these shores, and isn’t just a USA exclusive like the majority of the diabetes/heart attack-inducing snacks that never make it down under.
