There’s a good chance that this year’s Laneway Festival lineup looks a bit like the Heavy Rotation section for your network on Rdio or Spotify. (And I reckon this a good thing.) This makes for a topical lineup. (Good thing.) And it makes for an eclectic lineup. (Also good.) For Melburnians, this culminated in a day bathed in consistent sun (statistically unlikely) out in Melbourne’s (wild) west. You could find yourself jumping from Cashmere Cat (quirky Scandinavian club bangers) to CHVRCHES (Glaswegian electro-pop). From Lorde (Grammys!) to Danny Brown (molly) to King Krule (that voice).
