Carol Lei isn’t like a regular mom – she’s a cool mom. Having helped her 13-year-old Girl Scout daughter Danielle set up shop selling cookies outside San Francisco medical cannabis collective The Green Cross, she acknowledged to Mashable, “I’m not condoning it, I’m not saying go out in the streets and take marijuana […] It also adds a little bit of cool factor. I can be a cool parent for a little bit.”

The enterprising Danielle, of Girl Scout Troupe 3168, sold a 117 boxes of cookies in two hours, far outstripping the 37 boxes per hour rate she hit at a nearby Safeway the next day.

As Holli Bert, a staffer from The Green Cross notes, “It’s no secret that cannabis is a powerful appetite stimulant, so we knew this would be a very beneficial endeavour for the girls.”
