Yesterday, police in Seattle released an interesting piece of evidence from the archives in regards to the late great musical icon Kurt Cobain. Proof that everyone has a bad day with their partner, the released images depict a note that Cobain kept in his wallet where he refers to his wife, the infamous Courtney Love, as a “bitch with zits” who was “siphoning” money for “doping and whoring.” Ouch. But also… probs fair enough…

Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife when she’s a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring…

This text is in start contrast to the way Cobain referred to his wife in his famed suicide not where calls her her a “goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy.” But then again, you’d have to be pretty damn heartless to point out your wife’s shitty complexion as part of your dying words.

The documentation has come to light as last month a Cold Case Detective re-examined the death of Cobain. Contrary to many conspiracy theories and the thoughts of many Cobain Stans, it was found that Love had nothing to do with the death of the Nirvana frontman and that Cobain did in fact die from a self-administered shotgun wound to the head following a massive dose of heroin.  Case closed. Police have released a few other images of the crime scene, which you can see in the gallery above, which are sort of hauntingly beautiful in a way.

Courtney may officially be off the hook when it comes to the case but what of Cobain’s portrait of Love as the “bitch with zits” siphoning all his money? Well… his daughter at least might agree that there was some truth to that statement.
