Pharrell’s grammys hat will go down in history for being the inanimate object that managed to gain more attention than the celebrities at one of the hugest celebrity gatherings of the year.

The bizzare brown felt creation (it’s actually a vintage Vivienne Westwood, thanks) of course caused a huge fuss – it had its own Twitter account within about 30 minutes of appearing, and set the net abuzz with jokes. Memes move fast, people.

Pharrell, never one to take himself too seriously, did the only thing even more endearing than wearing the ridiculous hat in the first place: laughed at himself about it, getting involved in various Twitter conversations shortly after.

Now Pharrell’s team have joined in the meme-making too. His own iamOTHER collective have posted a video parody with this to say:

“We couldn’t help ourselves! Congratulations to our boss, Pharrell Williams, and #PharrellsHat on their 2014 Grammy awards. Get #HATTY”

The clip creators have superimposed The Hat over Pharrell’s dancing figure in a clip from the video for his new single ‘Happy’. The result is hatlarious. Ha. Check out the video above.
