Back in Soviet Russia, when all they wanted to do was dance to jazz and rock ‘n’ roll, the government banned Western music in an attempt to curb the West’s influence. But that didn’t stop them. The ingenious Russians salvaged discarded X-rays from hospitals and “pressed” the seditious tracks onto them with a converted gramophone. Cutting the X-rays into a circle with manicure scissors, they would burn a hole in the middle with a cigarette. Although it wasn’t a perfect record-shape, it did the trick, enabling them to listen to artists like Elvis Presley.

Also, when listeners held up the platter to the light they could still see the skeleton from its original use. So, it seems music really does come from inside of you. Even from your left wrist.
