If you’re older than 20, chances are you grew up in the fading golden age of MS-DOS: a clunky text interface that supported a myriad of bizarre, sometimes illegal and oft iconic games. Ah, the joys of getting a bootleg floppy disk copy of Commander Keen and jamming it into your oversized computer tower to a chorus of cooling fans and general whirring. We’d give anything to have those days back but until time travel becomes viable, we’ve got the next best thing.

That’s right, procrastination hub archive.org have taken over 2,300 DOS games and jammed ’em right into their website for you to enjoy for free. To get you started, we picked out ten of our best DOS gaming memories for you to get playing. Check them out in the gallery above.
