50 Shades of Grey, a book synonymous with breaking sale records and poor writing alike, left lots of reader questions unanswered to say the least. In an effort to rectify this, author E.L. James decided to take the obvious path in the 21st century – hold a Twitter Q&A session, using the handle #AskELJames.

I am totally perplexed if James expected a series of tame questions in response to a book revolving around glorifying abusive relationships and BDSM, and in the true beauty of Twitter, she received the exact opposite. Unsurprisingly, James made no attempt to answer anything but the lamer questions, leaving such pressing matters such as “What’s your favourite shade out of the 50? Is there a chance that more shades will be added?” unanswered. Have a look at some of the best ‘questions’ in the photo gallery, and even raise your pressing matters with James at #AskELJames.
