It was recently revealed that Jared Fogle (aka the Subway Guy) was involved in child pornography and schemes to sexually exploit children. His guilty plea means that he will face anywhere from five to 12 years in a US federal prison. The reaction from Twitter has been mixed, with some keeping things light around the issue and others taking a more serious tone on the issue, like Chris Rock who insists that we shouldn’t joke about this issue.

According to the SMH Jared Fogel will plead guilty to one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography and one count of travelling to engage in unlawful sex acts with minors.

According to reports between 2010 and 2013 he paid for sex with two teenage girls when he travelled to New York City, usually for business. Fogle also received exploitation material from a former executive at his charity who was involved in the abuse of a number of children.

Subway has now ended all associations with Fogel and have reiterated that fact on Twitter and Jared’s wife has also revealed that she is filing for divorce—not a great week for the former Subway Guy. Check out how the internet weighed in above.
