Reviews are plentiful for expensive wine and beer. Reviews for the cheap shit, however, are virtually non-existent. Chances are that if you’re an avid consumer of inexpensive alcohol, you’re soul preoccupation lies with alcohol content and price point.

Well, expert wine critic Whitney Adams has sat down to sample some cheap beers out of America – the kinds that would be consumed in excess at frat houses across the country.

This tongue-in-cheek video elicits its humor through Adams’ terse deductions about beer. She bluntly describes one beer as “tasting like darkness”, and like “wet cardboard”. Her favourite beer of the bunch, Steel Reserve, however, is describes as being “elegant” and “delicate”.

I too will be sipping on elegance tonight, in the form of a sixer of Carlton Draught.
