Thanks to hours of hard work and a stroke of genius by scientists at the University of Rochester it looks like sneaking into the restricted section of the library will no longer be a problem for future generations.

Physics professor John Howell and graduate student Joseph Choi have developed the simplest, cheapest and most practical cloaking device to date which surprisingly consists of a few off-the-shelf lenses that any average Joe could acquire for a few hundred dollars.

If you want the scientific details watch the video above. But, basically the device is an arrangement of lenses that bends light around the object you want cloaked. Surprisingly, the device can be infinitely scaled up in size (provided you have large enough lenses) and could even one day make an entire military base disappear completely.
