Their show in Melbourne saw social media darling Ryan Hemsworth bring a set of raved-up trap with a dash of whimsy, while Kaytranada followed up with a potent cocktail of stuff both intricate and brawny. And, because it was Kaytranada’s 21st birthday, nobody wanted to stop the young gun from pushing his set into extra time. The Canadian headliners’ sets were bookended by weapons-grade beats from the US–Australian crew assembled by The Operatives.
