Your nightlife experience might be full of trap arms these days but there is still a strong international community dedicated to preserving the art of footwork—a fast paced dance and music that originally came to prominence in 1980s Chicago. For Melbourne Music Week, Section 8 hosted Mop & Glow—a tribute to the Japanese culture of footwork—featuring some of the premier DJs and dancers of the movement, as well as a preview screening of Australian-produced doco Futtuwaku.
