Event recap: Melbourne – Valve Sounds launch, May 14

Introducing one of Australia's newest rising record labels

Posted by

The Valve Sounds Launch Party kicked off at Melbourne’s Belleville over the weekend and let’s just say we’re sure the hangovers were worth it. Things got pretty rowdy, to say the least, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way. For those that missed out, we joined our mates down at the Globe Alley venue to celebrate Valve Sounds‘ formation and their fresh new artists. The recently formed label, valuing Australian hip-hop, R&B and soul, presented one of their leading artists UV Boi, who headlined the packed space. BaroMaya HirasedoNico Ghost also made stellar appearances, with special mention to Melbourne R&B vocalist RINI who stepped in for the label’s other signee Villette, who was unfortunately too unwell to perform. Despite the last minute change of line-up, the crew pulled together a quality night of live, local music. The drinks were flowing, the atmosphere was electric. You’ll want to keep an eye on Valve. Take a look at some of the photos from the night in the gallery above.
