For the better part of May, beat-making program Ableton and platform SoundCloud teamed up to run a competition that challenged producers to create an original track out of free sounds by the likes of M83, Junior Boys, and Nosaj Thing. The was a small catch – after downloading the pack, artist had only 24 hours to submit it.

Of course, this wasn’t too tricky for Sydney’s Flume, whose last track Higher has been stuck in my head since he released it. With his usual catchy sampling and hip-hop beat you can listen to his remix of Junior Boys Every Little Step below and vote for him here.
