Grace Jones ain’t nothin’ to fuck with, especially if recently revealed excerpts from her memoirs are anything to go by. She recently spoke with the New York Times about her upcoming memoirs, expanding a little more on her views of today’s ‘rebels’ (Nicki, Miley, Amber Rose et al.).
“They make it so obvious. But they don’t quite have the conviction. It’s always someone styling them, for example. It’s not coming from them… my whole view is being unique and finding yourself, from your own suffering or your own upbringing or your own happiness. For me, it’s all piggy backing.”
The incomparable Ms Jones also suggested Kanye West should probably stay away from her, claiming that he copied a video idea from her. It wasn’t disclosed which video—and there are a lot of interesting ones to choose from between the both of them—but she’s not happy with Yeezy either.
“When I see him, honestly, I’m going to get in his face.”
Something tells me Ye would welcome an interaction with such a pop culture influencer but we’ll just have to wait and see if this run-in ever takes place.
