Erykah Badu hosted the 2015 Soul Train Awards recently, making headlines for joking about Iggy Azalea’s place (or not) in rap music. Iggy’s fans have been going in on Erykah’s mentions and comments to defend her, as the rapper has been absent from social media for a while but I don’t think it’s coincidental that she chose to make her return to Twitter today, having last posted exactly a month ago. She seemingly addresses the major shade in the first couple of tweets, dismissing the situation as ‘exhausting’ , before going on to provide her fans with updates on her apparently delayed album (and her horse).
