We’ve had our eye on Venezuelan IDM producer Arca for a while now. After he dropped his mixtape &&&&& and produced the creepy, stuttering FKA Twigs song Papi Pacify, we didn’t hear another thing from him for the rest of 2014.

Turns out the Yeezus contributor has been in the studio churning out his debut full length in the interim. The debut track off Xen is the wonky ‘Thievery’, a slowed down, twisted soundscape that lifts the sludgiest elements from his aquacrunk roots and drops them into a vast bass backing.

Long-time visual collaborator Jesse Kanda designed the album cover for the release – a disturbing, flash-photograph transformation that perfectly suits Arca’s current sound. It’s due to drop on CD, Vinyl and download in Aus and NZ on November 7.
