Jay Electronica has dropped a new track titled ‘The Curse of Mayweather’ and, much like its namesake, it’s sure to ruffle a few feathers. We’ve all been waiting on a new Jay Elect album for, oh I don’t know, forever, and this new offering from the rapper goes in on some unsuspected names… kind of. Jay had previously brought up 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar during a Periscope broadcast, in which he revealed his less-than-favourable opinions on each. ‘The Curse of Mayweather’ extends on this conflict a little, particularly after 50 hit back in the most troll-worthy way, claiming to have never heard of Jay before. Kendrick’s Grammy noms also get a dishonourable mention, which is bound to raise the eyebrows of many of K.Dot’s supporters, especially after yesterday’s phenomenal Grammys blow-out. There’s been no word from 50 Cent yet about the new track but we’re kind of hoping, amidst all this award show buzz, Kendrick finds the time to respond, in musical form or otherwise.
