There’s a moment in this song – 3.26 minute mark to be precise- amongst the grandiose string arrangements, dancing keys, orchestral brass samples and gentle crooning where Jesse Boykins III separates himself from being just another soul/r&b singer. Full body shivers and a Google search of whether he’d be touring Australia soon came shortly after my first listen.
With four studio albums under his belt, this amazing reggae rendition of Limit to your love in his repertoire and a string of melting hearts left in his wake, JB III is set to release his fifth album Love Apparatus on April the 22nd. ‘Live in me’ is the third single off said album, produced by Machinedrum and if the front cover’s any indication, this winter might not be so cold.
