Nostalgic crooner Lana Del Rey has teased the first offering from her Honeymoon album for some time now and, with a pending September release date, she’s chosen today to drop off the sombre title track. A grainy home video accompanies the song, with Del Rey lolling about barefoot on a hill near a highway. It quickly switches over to the song’s lyrics, presented over a pink, flowery still image that looks as if it could have been made by any overzealous LDR fan on YouTube; knowing her, we’ll assume it’s an intentional aesthetic.

The cinematic, six-minute song appears to be a return to the melancholy sound we became familiar with on her second album Born To Die, once again deftly tapping into her uncanny ability to channel Nancy Sinatra. The slow burner sees Del Rey name-checking a variety of boulevards in downtown LA while recounting another seemingly volatile relationship, where ignorance is wedded bliss. This is standard, sorrowful fare for Del Rey, but it’s what she does best; check it out for yourself in the gallery above.
