Melbourne rapper Remi has come through with a very chilled first release from his upcoming free mixtape Call It What You Want (F.Y.G. Act:2). The full mixtape is set to drop Thursday May 14 and in anticipation of the release, the tracklist is now available over at Remi’s Bandcamp page. Frequent collaborator Sensible J provides the winding, airy backdrop for Kolawole’s ode to the weird and wonderful. Remi explains that the understated track is about “feeling like an outsider in whatever circumstance you’re in”, a sentiment very much in line with his recent activism in regards to racism. The hook also mentions that “if you’re out of the ordinary, you’re awesome to Remi”; keep that one in the back of your mind for some Wednesday morning feels. 

Remi will be supporting the release of the tape with a club tour across Australia before travelling to Europe and the UK for a further series of dates. Check out the track above, and then find out when he’s in your city below.
