Since his smash hit ‘Shutdown’ took off, UK Grime MC Skepta is currently making his way around Australia for his maiden tour. So far he’s blown fans away performing at Beyond the Valley, Origin, Field Day, and a bunch of side shows. His visit wouldn’t be complete without stopping in for an interview at Triple J.

Skepta is no stranger to freestyling on-air and so jumped at the opportunity to drop some bars when host, Shantan Wantan Ichiban, asked. He raps over Kano’s original ‘P’s & Q’s’ and manages to jam a lot into the short two-minute freestyle, from police brutality, to short-lived fame, and even a shout-out to local touring lords BBE.

Skepta will wind up his tour performing at FOMO this weekend and then continue his jam-packed year at Coachella, after being announced in this year’s line up. Listen to the freestyle below and hear what the big man had to say about his Australian tour here.
