Listen: Ta-Ku – ‘You&I’

What happens when photographers and beatmakers join forces?

Posted by

Australian beat maker, Ta-Ku, has teamed together with Tokyo-based artist, Repeat Pattern, and Berlin-based label/good friend, Jakarta Records. It almost seems natural to combine photographers with beatmakers, and when the trio joined forces, it resulted in their new creative label, Brrwd, ‘where visuals meet sound’.

Their first release of their 10-part series is ‘You&I’, which you can check out below. Ta-Ku creates a minimalistic, slow tempo sound by combining ‘dirty loops’ and chopping up the repeated phrase ‘you and I,’ which is simply beautiful. The song is a part of a compilation that will be, Love Volume One, and it is available for you to pre order here, in either a digital form or on a limited 10-inch vinyl. Based on the sound of ‘You&I’, we’re expecting big things from the upcoming tracks, so you won’t want to miss out on getting your hands on it.
