Coming from the vault of the English DJ Tim Westwood, this 1995 unreleased Fugees freestyle serves to remind you that they were one of the greatest hip-hop groups of their decade for a good reason. Politically conscious, ahead of their time, and on another level to everyone else in the game, this freestyle will have you re-living the pain of their split like it’s 1997 again.

It’s got that Lauryn Hill finesse that is unmatchable and she bumps out a verse that solidifies her as one of a kind. The track was recorded back at the peak of their career and proves they (at one point in time) knew how to work as a team, as Wyclef Jean takes over the mic, followed by Pras. The rest of the track is a back and forth between the three of them. That kind of chopped up, line-by-line spitting is less and less typical these days, and really only works when everyone is on the same vibe. Yep, The Fugees had that. Chuck in your headphones and let nostalgia have its way.
