Weekly updates

Every single festival lineup of the season so far has made me simultaneously excited for good music and totally freak out about how the hell I’m going to afford rent (may as well get into the festival spirit and live in a tent). Sugar Mountain is no exception. The line-up covers all bases.

Nas: for when I wanna be a massive white girl.

ODESZA: for when I wanna dance like a massive white girl.

Midnight Juggernauts: for when I wanna get intergalactic.

Wax’o Paradiso: for when I wanna boogie.

Oscar Key Sung x Cassius Select: for when I wanna cry over such a perfect collab.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard: for when I wanna feel good, but weird, but good.

…And then everything in between.

Sugar Mountain is sure to tickle a little bit of everyone’s fancy. Being held on January 24, the festival’s usual iconic Forum Theatre venue has changed next year to the Victorian College of Arts (VCA), and will feature five stages. Three outdoor, and two indoor stages. The tickets have been capped to only 5,500 offerings this year, which means you’ll have to get in quick when they go on sale on Monday October 20 at 9am.
