So last month, there was talk of a new Ol’ Dirty Bastard documentary to be released via the NuHo Online Film Festival and November 15 went by with little to no fanfare. Originally slated for a physical premiere at Brooklyn Academy of Music, the screening was shut down by ODB’s estate, who issued a cease and desist order to festival organisers.
Apparently punters were waiting on the screening of Dirty: Platinum Edition at BAM for two hours before organisers announced it wouldn’t actually be shown, choosing, instead to allow Wu-Tang leader RZA Skype in with news of an upcoming Wu album.
Fortunately, following a private screening with Dirty’s wife Icelene Jones, among others, the two parties have reached an agreement an the documentary is now available for general consumption. You can purchase your download (in your choice of package) here.
