In yet more hip-hop group ‘break-up’ news, Sir Michael Rocks recently explained why we won’t be seeing any work from The Cool Kids any time soon – though it isn’t as bad as you might expect. In his exclusive interview with All Hip Hop, Mikey confirmed that he and Chuck Inglish will be focusing on their respective solo careers rather than rehashing the Cool Kids vibe.

To the people lamenting the death of The Cool Kids, Sir Michael says, in the interview, “That’s stupid, we’re different people, we’ve evolved more than that, we’re way different people, so I think right now we need to be developing ourselves separately as artists and becoming a force on our own, because we’re both super dope… like, we’re both nice as fuck even before we knew each other, so it’s not a tough play to figure it out.”

It’s not necessarily the end of the Chi-town duo though, with the possibility of new projects featuring a new sound, and probably a new name, not completely ruled out for the future. Check out the full interview here.
